About Me

At the young age of five, Dino started playing guitar, which was a Christmas gift from his father. Shortly after that, Dino's annoying habit of playing during the News prompted his father to break this guitar which was replaced a week later by a 12 string guitar. Dino quickly discovered a passion for music that has remained to this day.
His first professional gig at the age of 12 was playing his guitar and singing on a tour bus bound for Octoberfest in Kitchener. He was in his first professional band at the age of 18 and started touring and playing at hotels, private clubs and venues. At the age of 19 Dino met Brian Hawkins and the band Easy Mix. Brian was also a member of the band Turning Point. Brian was also the lead guitar for the band The Federals in England, and he was instrumental in making Dino believe he could sing like Roy Orbison.

Dino got his solo career start at Lord Byron's, a fine dining restaurant. Dino was a mainstay at Lord Byron's for many years before moving on to the Black Dog Pub. Dino and the Dogs was the main house band at the famous Black Dog Pub in Scarborough for many years and that is also where the name for the band originated.
Dino has been fortunate enough to have worked and played with many well known artists and has put together an awesome and versatile group of guys who are top notch musicians that share Dino's desire to please an audience.

Dino has over 1500 songs in his musical repertoire, playing hit songs from the 50's, 60's and 70's right up to current. His musical style ranges from pop, rock, blues/r&b, jazz, swing and country. Some of his famous influences came from Elvis, Paul McCartney, Beatles, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Neil Young, James Taylor, Eagles, Blue Rodeo and Vince Gill, to name just a few.

Dino's personality and versatility has enabled him to connect with his audience during his performances and the driving force to have everyone on the dance floor is what motivates him every time he steps onto the stage. Dino and the Dogs thrive on being able to perform everyone's favourite songs and never leave the crowd disappointed. Due to their ability to please any crowd, Dino and the Dogs have also been asked to entertain at many weddings, parties, anniversaries and corporate events. The band plays at many local establishments in and around Durham region and continues to enjoy entertaining new and old friends.
